Majenta and Geomagic Partner to offer Reverse Engineering & 3D Inspection Software Solutions

Brentwood, Essex. July, 2011 – Majenta Solutions Ltd., one of Europe’s leading providers of product development, manufacturing, product lifecycle information management software and IT infrastructure solutions, has announced an expansion in their product portfolio, to include Reverse Engineering and 3D Inspection Software.

Majenta recently signed an agreement with the privately owned, North Carolina based, 3D software provider, Geomagic, to resell the leading Reverse Engineering and 3D Inspection Software packages, Geomagic Studio & Geomagic Qualify. Majenta offer extensive expertise in the field and will now offer these solutions in the UK.

Professionals involved in the design, reverse engineering and inspection of parts and products use Geomagic Studio and Geomagic Qualify to shorten time to market and improve quality, with global customers including the likes of Ford, Harley-Davidson and NASA.

We also see a need for fast 3D non-contact inspection and the accurate comparison between CAD model and scanned-as-built for FAI, inspection and quality control.”

Geomagic has been awarded five patents, with several patents pending for its specialist technologies, and supports all major 3D digitisers, cameras and scanners. Geomagic Studio directly integrates with leading mechanical CAD packages, and allows parametric CAD models to be quickly created (using Parametric Exchange), complete with model trees that are editable in CAD.
