Elysium's CAD.feature product provides a tool to not only translate the design definition as a solid set of surfaces but to also provide the recipe; the design features that were used to create the geometric definition of the part.

As the newest addition to the Elysium line of translation products CAD.Feature supports the direct and rapid conversion of design intent from one CAD system to another through the ability to accurately translate model features between systems.

Cad.Feature provides focussed feature-based translation from source CAD systems to the target CAD systems. The CAD.Feature process contains 2 steps:-

CAD.feature Writer:

• Simple form to export features.
• Displays all features and allows investigation of feature information used for data exchange.
• Identify any problem features before starting translation process so you can take corrective action in the source CAD system.

CAD.feature Reader:

• Simple form to import neutral file.
• Displays feature content and provides control for rebuild options before processing.
• Displays quality analysis of results.
• Mass properties from source and target system.
• Differences on a feature by feature basis where needed.
• Robust and quick B-rep solids are created for undefined features and parts with no history.
