Consumer Products - How does it work?
Digital modelling with accurate visual analysis
aesthetica allows you to anticipate fit and finish issues early in the development project, using full digital modeling and accurate visual simulation.
You can account for the way in which different materials behave under manufacturing and assembly conditions – for example, gap and flush control issues where metal fabrication, pressure die-cast and plastic molded parts come together.
aesthetica allows you to identify issues around misalignments, flushness, tapers, interference and see-through by running simulations of the tolerancing conditions.
You will be able to see the worst possible deformation that could be achieved within the design criteria and discover the key contributors to problem areas – ie exactly what you’re going to get in terms of shifts away from the ideal nominal model.
aesthetica provides a wealth of tools to vary the input parameters (materials, finishes, constraints and tolerances) and see the effects in a high quality inspection environment – taking each component and defining assembly constraints and seeing how it may vary in terms of flexing and twisting.
The results can be shared as 3D digital prototypes over the internet using standard conferencing tools. This means that Perceived Quality issues can be resolved in collaboration with remote manufacturing sites.
You can also achieve consistent quality targets for products and brands that are manufactured at multiple sites, and improve the number of successful assemblies.
