Majenta has been proactively enabling our customers to access their existing CATIA V5 licences remotely by temporarily switching to local licences (nodelock DSLS licenses) over the last couple of weeks, to enable remote software access. This free and simple service is enabling our customers to achieve business continuity during this difficult time. Below, we have created a guide for how you can extract your own CATIA V5 licence for up to 30 days, should you have any issues or if you would like us to perform this for you, please contact the Majenta helpdesk on 02476 308035 for us to assist you.
How to extract a CATIA V5 licence for up to 30 Days
Step 1: Connect via VPN, so that you have access to the server
Step 2: Click on NodelockKey Management for your version
Step 3: Select the second tab, ‘Offline Management’
Step 4: Select Refresh List (Bottom right)
Available licences will show in the bottom tab
Step 5: Right-click on the license you require and select ‘Extract’
Step 6: Select the number of days (up to 30) that you would like it extracted for, and Extract
Step 7: The extracted licence will show in the top tab
Step 8: You can now disconnect from VPN
Step 9: When you start CATIA you will get a message telling you how many days remain
And you’re done!

Dassault Systèmes has recently introduced a managed licence service called Managed DSLS.
What is a managed DSLS?
With Managed DSLS, you no longer need aphysical machine on which to install the DS License Server (DSLS). The licence server is managed by Dassault Systèmes and located in Dassault Systèmes premises. Client workstations access the managed DSLS server remotely. The server is administered by the customer through a secure web interface.
Why should I consider this?
- Gain quick and easy access to Dassault Systèmes licences whilst working from home.
- The licence server can be accessed from anywhere with an internet connection, and the offlining of licences is still possible.
- You no longer need to enrol licences, this is done automatically by Dassault Systèmes.
Which licences are supported?
Managed DSLS supports CATIA V5-6 R2018 ( R28) and above as well as 3DEXPERIENCE.
