FAQ’s:

Why are Autodesk making these changes?

As part of the move to a subscription-based business, we are committed to delivering continued value for our subscribers. The Media & Entertainment Collection offers the creative tools customers need for visual effects and 3D content creation, and now artists can access the power of Arnold rendering software for a truly end-to-end creative workflow. These changes to the Media & Entertainment Collection help make this subscription offer more powerful and flexible, and ultimately deliver the tools users need, whether they are an individual artist or part of a creative team.

What are the Arnold packs?

Arnold Packs are multiple Arnold renderer licenses bundled together, which customers can use locally or on the cloud. The first Arnold Pack we offer will be a 5-pack, meaning there will be 5 Arnold licenses included in the pack

What else is changing?

Starting on September 7, 2017, the Media & Entertainment Collection will also include Sketchbook for Enterprise, a drawing application that can be used for illustration, concept art, storyboarding, and more. Adding Sketchbook for Enterprise helps to further enhance the value of the Media & Entertainment Collection by providing artists with more options and greater flexibility when it comes to content creation.

Is the price changing for the Media and Entertainment Collection?

No, there is no current plan to change the price of Media & Entertainment Collection.

Do existing subscribers of the Media & Entertainment Collection get entitlements to Arnold ?

No, existing subscribers to the M&E collection will not get entitlements to Arnold as part of the Media & Entertainment Collection and Arnold promo. The Media & Entertainment Collection and Arnold promo offer is only available with a new Media & Entertainment Collection subscription after September 7, 2017.

However, customers can take advantage of the separate Arnold 5-pack promo pricing separately available as of August 7th, 2017.
