Do you like to be in control at all times? If the answer’s ‘yes’, then MX is the perfect data transfer solution for you. We think that you should have the ability to tailor your data’s journey to suit your needs, from its creation to its final destination.
Working closely with a diverse range of businesses over the past 20 years, from innovative startups to large OEMS, we’ve learnt a thing or two about our users’ needs and expectations when using our platform. We’ve seen that a major concern for today’s businesses is wanting to know exactly how and where their data is stored, and what happens to it in the long term.
We’ve developed MX specifically for the security-conscious: our services will keep your data protected, while allowing you to share with ease. Crucially, your data will ‘self-destruct’ once the criteria is complete, so you don’t need to worry about any potential IP leaks when using MX.
Before you send your file
Even before you hit ‘Send’, MX allows you to customise how you’re going to transfer your data on the ‘Send Data’ screen.
Depending on your needs, you have many options available to you when choosing your data to send. You can:
- Send a single file, in any format.
- Send a zipped folder.
- Send any folder using Google Chrome or Opera.
Likewise, you also have control over who receives this data. Here you can:
- Send to one recipient in your internal or external organisation.
- Send to an entire organisation.
- Send to a custom personal group.
- Send to a combination of the above.
And, just for a bit more control over your data, there are other handy options available to you. After choosing your recipients, you can:
- Add comments alongside your data transfer as necessary.
- Place a download expiry on the data, so your file(s) are only available for the recipient(s) to download for a specific number of days.
- Limit the number of times your data is able to be downloaded.
- Request an email notification to let you know when your data has been downloaded by each recipient.
Then hit ‘Send’
Once you’ve selected your data, added your recipients and chosen your options, you’re ready to send your data. But what actually happens when you hit ‘Send’?
Firstly, your file(s) is prepped and primed for download: it’s uploaded and automatically encrypted to an enterprise level of security (256 bit).
It’s then held on a secure ultra-encrypted server for the amount of time you specified. This could be between 1 day and 30 days. The recipient is notified that data is available for them to download.
Finally, the data ends its journey as the recipients download the data. If you requested it, you’ll be notified of this by email. Once the download limit has been reached, or the transaction period ends, the file(s) cleverly self-destructs; meaning it’s completely wiped from the server and the only people who have it are you and your chosen recipients.
Transferring data with MX really is as simple, fast and secure as that. There’s no complicated steps, no tricks, and most importantly, no data left behind although there is a permanent record of the filenames / sizes / folder structure for your recording purposes. In the end, if you create the data, you should be the one to control it, wherever it needs to go.
