Whether you have just purchased a new licence or need to reinstall your software, the first step is to acquire the software installation files.
To download the installation media, follow the steps below. In this example, we will be downloading CATIA V5-6R2019 (R29). If another version is required, please select the appropriate version.
Step 1: Log in to https://software.3ds.com/
Step 2: Select ‘V5’
Step 3: Use the ‘Release’ drop-down list and select V5-6R2019
Step 4: Use the ‘Level’ drop-down list and select V5-6R2019 Golden
Step 5: Select the package and download both parts
Once both parts of the package have downloaded and extracted, you will have two folders as follows:
Step 6: You will need to create a new folder in this location
Step 7: After creating this folder, copy the contents of both the extracted folders into the Combined folder.
Step 8: Open the combined folder and run Setup.exe as administrator.
If you are installing 2019/R29 and when running setup you receive an error message stating “Setup”:
- Download the following Dassault fix here
- Extract the contents
- Replace the Setup.exe in the combined folder with the extracted Setup.exe
