We have been made aware of an potential issue caused by a Windows 10 update which can cause the Vault ADMS Server to function incorrectly.

 

If your Vault Server is not currently running Windows 10, or you have installed the latest Windows Updates and do not have this issue then please disregard this, you do not need to take any action.

 

The Windows Update is causing issues within the Autodesk IIS User, causing permissions to be changed and thus the clients unable to connect to the server.

To resolve this issue please follow the below steps

  • Navigate to the IIS Directory – EG: C:\inetpub\temp\appPools\
  • Move both the AutodeskDMPool and AutodeskFSPool to a temporary directory. EG; a folder on the desktop called IISBackup
  • Open Command Prompt as an administrator
  • Enter “IISRESET”
  • Test Connectivity
  • If connectivity is OK, delete the directory created in the first step
