4D Planner

As an 4D Planner you must be passionate about BIM and Digital Construction. A team player, eager to learn and passionate about the construction industry. You will be customer focused and great at forming new relationships with new and existing customers, helping to ensure that they receive the best possible service.

The 4D Planner creates, develops, and maintains the 4D model throughout key milestones of a project, ranging from the pre-construction stage right the way through to handover and delivery. The key role is to demonstrate that the sequence of works, build methodology and site logistics align and correspond to the construction programme highlighting Physical and time clashes alongside opportunities.

You will be expected to have at least 2+ years’ experience working in a 4D planning role. You will also be expected to have proven experience in the following software’s. Synchro, 3DSmax, Navisworks, Revit & Microsoft office applications

It would be desirable if you have experience in model coordination within either Navisworks or Solibri.

The role in detail

Your role as 4D planner will primarily involve working and liaising with a variety of customers throughout the lifecycle of a project.

Duties will include:

  • Create 4D models by linking project programmes with design models to create a visual sequence of works within Synchro for a selection of clients.
  • Model phased logistics and temporary works within 3DSMax.
  • Use Navisworks to Sub-divide design models into phased areas.
  • Running ‘what if’ scenarios within 4D environment against baseline models to identify programme opportunities.
  • Running physical and time-based clash detection of design, logistics and temporary works against the programme to validate.
  • Creating 1 week, 1 month and 3 month lookahead outputs.
  • Provide Training and upskilling in the use of Synchro and 4D techniques for a selection of clients.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Attend and run client meetings.
  • Be able to work to deadlines under own supervision.
  • Proactive team member, willing to learn and contribute to the wider Majenta team.
  • Have excellent organisational skills.
  • Support the business development team with prospects including technical qualification, preparation, scope of works and delivery of effective demonstrations and technical presentations
  • Deliver better solutions directly to Clients and experience positive change to achieve personal and customer satisfaction.
  • Marketing assistance to develop collateral across all forms of social media.
  • Ability to offer an excellent standard of customer service
