For over 40 years Printech Circuit Laboratories (PCL) has been manufacturing specialist circuitry and associated products for a wide variety of customers, including but not restricted to Aerospace, Defence, Medical, Motorsport, RF and Microwave communication.
Printech required mechanical design software with which to design deployable satellite antennas which would operate effectively in orbit.
It was crucial for Printech to be equipped with a software package that would enable clear communication of the designs internally.
It was concluded that CATIA V5 would be the optimum software solution. Printech staff had some familiarity with this product, allowing them to hit the ground running. CATIA V5 is well suited to projects with expanding needs, allowing additional packages (such as thermal analysis) to be added with ease.
Printech is now better equipped for good progress – and clear communications of designs – on complex projects.
As CATIA V5 is widely used in aerospace and other industries, use of this package future-proofs Printech’s ability to expand in and work with a range of industries in a changing climate.
