Helen Thompson

We’re proud to announce that Helen Thompson is a confirmed guest speaker for this event. Helen co-chairs the BIM Regions groups and feeds into the UK BIM Alliance. She has been researching and implementing Level 2 BIM and Soft Landings processes and technologies since joining Gleeds’ Research and Development team in 2011. She also supports clients in the role of the Employer’s Information Manager.

We have also just confirmed another high-profile guest speaker, Ben Roberts, the BIM Delivery Leader at Hoare Lea.


Ben is a chartered mechanical engineer and holds the position of BIM Delivery Leader for Hoare Lea, a role which involves pushing the boundaries of software tools. He specialises in using BIM models for design calculations and is an active member of the CIBSE BIM steering group and the BSRIA BIM Network. Ben is also involved in developing many industry standards for MEP BIM delivery, and has written articles for a variety of construction industry journals on the subject of BIM.

There will also be guest speakers from BIM Object (#1 place to download real BIM Objects) plus success stories from a selection of Majenta Solutions Partners.
On the day there will also be various breakout sessions including Virtual Reality for Construction Demonstrations using HTC Vive, and Point Cloud Scanning Technology from Faro.
