Setting the standard for DfE projects: 99% compliance

Majenta was recently awarded an exceptional compliance score – exceeding 99% – for our work on a significant Department for Education (DfE) project, representing one of the highest ratings ever achieved. Our Technical Director, James Smith, who oversaw the project, explains the significance of the achievement.
I was delighted to learn that our work on a recent DfE project scored an unprecedented 99.06% compliance pass – if not entirely surprised. It’s a testament to the hard work, expertise, and collaborative spirit that I see our team bring to every project. To put the headline figure into context, it’s the result of a rigorous, independent assessment by a third-party technical advisor, based on a review of over 33,000 individual files, illustrating the scale and complexity of these projects.
I’ve always believed that true success is built on strong partnerships. This achievement highlights the trust our Tier 1 contractor partners place in us to manage the complex digital backbone of these critical school builds, as well as the high standards we strive for, not only on this project, but across our portfolio. This score is directly linked to project progression and funding, so it’s a tangible demonstration of how our diligence and expertise directly contribute to the successful momentum of these initiatives.
Delivering excellence in information management
What does Majenta bring to these DfE projects? We specialise in providing comprehensive information management (IM), detailed IM coordination, clash coordination, and project modelling. We’ve thus far supported around 30 new school builds, and with each one, our team has refined its skills and deepened its understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities these projects present.
Our approach is fundamentally collaborative. We work hand-in-glove with our Tier 1 contractor partners, taking ownership of the intricate information management and BIM deliverables. This allows them to focus their expertise on the physical construction, knowing that the digital strategy is being expertly managed by a team that understands the DfE's exacting requirements. Our shared commitment to excellence with our partners and the DfE's technical advisors, is what allows us to achieve such outstanding results.
Looking ahead together: the DfE 25 framework and continued partnership
This achievement comes at a relevant moment, as we look towards the £15.4 billion DfE 25 framework, which is planned for launch in December 2025. I believe that our proven track record, exemplified by this near-perfect score, makes Majenta an ideal partner for organisations preparing bids and planning delivery strategies for this next wave of educational infrastructure development.
And with the DfE 25 framework opening doors for Tier 2 contractors on projects under £10 million, the ecosystem is expanding. For many, this will be a new arena. With our extensive experience developed on the current framework, Majenta is perfectly positioned to support both our established Tier 1 partners and those Tier 2 contractors taking advantage of this new opportunity.
We’re happy to share our understanding of the intricacies, challenges, and requirements of the framework to help you access, navigate and deliver these crucial projects successfully.
